frequently asked questions
What does the logo look like?
The logo encapsulates the brand values of space, environment, inspiration and lifestyle that are the strong results of our research into North Devon. We have talked to a number of local businesses and used an expert design agency in South Molton. The result is a logo showing sun, sea, sand, sky and rural indicators.
I already have a logo/corporate image, where does this fit in?
This is an umbrella brand to support your own corporate activity. It is intended to unite the community of North Devon with the aim of increasing awareness/impact and prosperity. It includes all businesses, all sectors, all sizes.
Surely this only helps Tourism? What is in it for me?
The brand has been developed to show the outside world that North Devon is inspirational and gives the opportunity for that ‘holy grail’ work/life balance. By combining activities of all industries we can make bigger “splash” and network together.
Will promoting the area ruin the locality? Overcrowding? Commercialised?
One of the key objectives of the project is to promote North Devon in a sustainable way. We have the long term in our mind. The “2020 Vision” by the NDEP is the driver for this campaign and it is very clear in its objectives for sustainability. Local opinion has been consulted each step of the way.
Will this cost me anything?
It is FREE to use the logo. It will be trademarked to manage its usage.
Who is involved with this project?
Both private and public sector have been consulted and we have a Steering Group incorporating North Devon District Council, Torridge Council, North Devon Marketing Bureau, North Devon Enterprise Agency, North Devon Coast and Countryside Service, Business Link to name but a few.
